Cerconota hydrelaeas

Cerconota hydrelaeas is a moth in the family Depressariidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1931. It is found in French Guiana.[1]

The wingspan is about 18 mm. The forewings are pale whitish yellow, with the extreme costal edge white, and with some pale grey suffusion beneath this towards the base. There are three orange-yellow dashes in an oblique series near the base on the costal half and two small light grey spots beneath the costal edge before the middle. A fuscous subquadrate patch occupies the median third and extends from the dorsum three-fourths of the way across the wing. There is also a pale grey elongate blotch beneath the costal edge posteriorly, and a series of undefined streaks on the veins forming with this a rather curved subterminal fascia. A pale greyish marginal shade is found around the apex and termen. The hindwings are pale whitish grey.[2]
