Charlie Rose (mayor)

Charles "Charlie" Rose (born 1913), his parents were of Portuguese descent from Azores. Rose was a popular figure for many years in the city of Campbell, California.

He owned and operated a grocery market on Central Avenue, served for several years on the Campbell City Council and served from 19621964 as the city's mayor. Later, he transformed his Central Avenue store into a sports shop that focused on baseball. Rose died in 1989. Pat McCann took over operations of the shop, and the store from the house to 161 Curtner Avenue in Campbell.
