Chen's career as a live streamer ended abruptly on 31 July 2018 when her heartless comments over Nanking massacre caused major outrage in China.[2][3][4][5][6][7] Chen made fun of the Nanking massacre, a mass murder committed by Japanese troops in 1938 killing over 300,000 people, by saying “Japanese soldiers’ blades were so fast”. While watching a live game stream, she described a scene in the game as "bowing to Yasukuni shrine," referring to the controversial shrine honoring Japanese soldiers, including convicted war criminals.[2]

Chen also reportedly took a photo under a teenage girl's skirt on subway and posted it online in a weibo blog without masks, which together with many of her other indecent and antisocial blogs demonstrated the dark side of her twisted personalities.[8][9] Her weibo account has been banned when those indecent contents attracted much wider public attention through her comments on Nanking massacre.
