Chithra Ramakrishnan is an Indian-born vocalist and Bharatanatyam dancer living in Birmingham, UK.

She is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Elected Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland. And also the Founder, Artistic Director of ShruthiUK, a Solihull-based non-profit South Asian arts and culture organisation. She pioneered the British Carnatic Choir - the first of its kind in the country.[1][2][3] She also organises the annual World Music Conference event which she founded in November 2017.[4] She hosts the popular talk show 'Chat With Chithra' which has featured prominent personalities and artists such as

As a vocalist, she prominently sings in the Carnatic music genre. She also sings in Tamil, Hindi and Sanskrit and has released albums in those languages.
Background
Ramakrishnan is a native of Lalgudi and spent her childhood days in Chennai as a 10-year old and then to Iraq two years later with her parents. She moved to Manipal with her parents and finished her graduation and post Graduation from Mangalore University and T A Pai Management Institute in Manipal. Eventually she settled in the UK with her husband.[5]
She has an MBA in Human Resources and a PhD in Management from the US.[6]
