Chraime
Chraime (Arabic: حرايمي haraime, Hebrew: חריימה) is a spicy fish stew with tomatoes from the Maghreb. It is somewhat similar to an older dish called sharmola (Arabic: شرمولة). The name of the dish comes from the Arabic word for "hot".[1]
Chraime is traditionally eaten by Jews on Erev Shabbat as well as on Rosh Hashanah and Passover for the Seder.[2][3][4] Maghrebi-Jewish immigrants have popularized the dish in Israel.
