Early life

Mackinday was born in South Chicago Heights and raised mostly in Edinburgh, Indiana.[3]

Career

Mackinday portrayed DC Comics character Zatanna in the 2012 porn parody The Dark Knight XXX.[4][5]

In April 2013, Mackinday launched her official website with Puba,[5] and in November, Fleshlight released Attack and Booty, her signature sex toys.[6] In the fall of 2013, she starred in Rambone: A Dream Zone Parody, a parody of the Rambo films.[7]

In a 2013 interview, Mackinday stated that she planned to retire from performing in adult videos once she had earned enough money to retire.[8] By July 2014, she had not performed in a new scene in ten months.[9] She confirmed her retirement in an April 2015 ESPN story.[10]

Personal life

Mackinday started getting tattoos shortly before her sixteenth birthday, most of which she designed herself.[3] In the July 2014 edition of Inked Mag, she credited her tattoos and curvaceousness with her success: "I came into porn at the exact time when nobody was like me." She stated that her tattoos make her feel beautiful and that "the more tattoos I get, the more beautiful I become".[9] She wore a mohawk hairstyle from the time she was eighteen years old until 2015.[3]

Mackinday married at the age of eighteen but left her husband and moved to Miami after being approached about posing nude.[11]

Mackinday was later involved in a relationship with Bellator MMA fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver, known as War Machine.[8][12][13] The two were featured in a January 2014 Hustler nude pictorial.[14]

On August 8, 2014, Mackinday and a male friend were assaulted by Koppenhaver in her Las Vegas home. Mackinday sustained eighteen broken bones, a broken nose, missing teeth, a fractured rib, a ruptured liver, and a thigh bruise so deep she was unable to walk for several weeks.[15] Koppenhaver attempted to rape her, but was unable to achieve an erection.[16][17] On August 15, Koppenhaver was arrested in Simi Valley by U.S. Marshals and Simi Valley police.[18] Koppenhaver was found guilty of twenty-nine of the thirty-four charges against him, including multiple sexual assault charges.[19] On June 5, 2017, Koppenhaver was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after thirty-six years.[20]
