It's located in Goya street, in the corner with Núñez de Balboa street, and its construction was carried out between 1912 and 1914.[3] The architect in charge of church's design was Eugenio Giménez Corera, till his death in 1910. Another architect, Jesús Carrasco, finished the work.[4] The tower —with a 43,70 meter height—[3] is topped with an iron spire, itself crowned by a sculpture of the Immaculate Conception.[1] King Alfonso XIII of Spain and his consort Queen Victoria Eugenie attended the church's opening, the ceremony took place 11 May 1914.[2] The building has suffered several reshuffles: in the decade of 1950s, in 1985 and 2013.[2]
On 8 July 1977 was published in Boletín Oficial del Estado a report requesting its declaration as Bien de Interés Cultural.[5]
