Claes-Göran Cederlund

Claes-Göran Cederlund is a Swedish physician and birdwatcher born in 1948.[1] After decades of dedicated birdwatching, in March 2019 he broke the world record of bird species seen or heard in the wild. His record currently stands at 9684 species,[2][3] meaning that Claes-Göran has "ticked" more avian species than anyone ever.

During his birdwatching pursuits he has visited over 120 countries as well as Antarctica.

He passed away on November 15th 2020 at the age of 72. [4]
