Colegio Altamira International School

The Altamira International School, located in Barranquilla, Colombia, is a private, non-sectarian, non-profit coeducational U.S. college preparatory school open to the enrollment of Colombians, North Americans, and children of other countries. The basic language of instruction is English, and the school staff, whenever possible, is completely bilingual and almost professionally qualified in their areas of instruction, the majority of them local hires. At the present time, the school offers an educational program from Pre-K through 12th grade for the 2005–2006 school year. The school is accredited by the Colombian Ministry of Education and an invitational member of the Tri-Association of Schools of Central America, Colombia-Caribbean and Mexico.

Facilities

  • Antonio Ruiz Angulo Coliseum opened in May 2009 and is a multipurpose center used for playing different sports as well as the main venue where academic celebrations take place.
  • Cafetorium Opened in 2019 and is a cafeteria that can be switched to an Auditorium.
