Colegio Interamericano is one of twenty-two international schools in Central America that are part of the Association of American Schools in Central America (AASCA).

Students that graduate from Colegio Interamericano receive both the American High School Diploma and the Guatemalan Diploma (Bachillerato en Ciencias y Letras).

The school is located in Zone 16 of Guatemala City, Guatemala.

History

Colegio Interamericano was founded in 1976 by the alumni of American School Guatemala, another international school in Guatemala City. In 1981, Colegio Interamericano relocated to its current location in Zone 16, and received its United States accreditation in 1989. The school is accredited by AdvancED and recently received its 5-year accreditation renewal in 2013. The school has a system of education with Elementary, Middle-School and High-School.

The mission of Colegio Interamericano is to prepare global citizens with the knowledge, skills and values to lead and improve a rapidly changing world.

The vision of Colegio Interamericano is to be recognized as the best dual-diploma, internationally accredited school in Guatemala.
