Collectors' Choice Music

Collectors' Choice Music (CCM) is an Itasca, Illinois, company originally primarily in two businesses, but since 2010 only in the second.[1][2]

CCM was best known for re-issuing albums originally recorded in LP record form as compact discs.[3] As of 2006, their catalog had reached over 600 titles[4] and by 2009 they issued about 60 new titles a year.[5] Their own releases were also sold through all other online dealers which sell CDs. But, by the end of 2010, Collectors' Choice had stopped releasing recordings.[1]

CCM's second business line is the sale of CDs (and originally cassettes), both the ones they have produced and others falling under their emphasis on rare and exotic titles. The company originated in 1993 with a print catalog,[5] which is still maintained as of 2019,[2] although they now encourage people to order online[3] from them. Both the print and online store offered their own and other re-releases and rare titles, with over 250,000 titles[5] available. By 2019, the rare titles and re-releases by others dominated, and some of their own pre-2011 re-releases were out of print.[1][2]
