History
After years of organization, the first event was finally arranged for late January in 2020.[2] The 3-day event will include youth tournaments from various levels of junior ice hockey and organizers were quick to dispel any correlation with the long-established Beanpot Tournament held in Boston.[3] While organizers may be loath to accept comparisons to other tournaments they would be, no doubt, thrilled if Connecticut Ice could establish itself on the same footing as other in-season championships.
SportsNet New York agreed to broadcast all four games of the tournament.[4]
