Corriere delle dame
Corriere delle dame was a weekly Italian-language fashion magazine published in Milan, Italy, between 1804 and July 1875. The magazine is one of the pioneers in women's emancipation in Italy.[1]

History and profile
Corriere delle dame was established in 1804.[2][3] The founder was Carolina Arienti (also known as Carolina Lattanzi),[4] who was married to Giuseppe Lattanzi.[5] She edited the magazine,[6][7] which included articles about literature and theatre of France and Italy.[3] It targeted men, women and children.[3] However, it was mostly read by women from higher social class.[8] The magazine is the origin of the Lombard costume.[4]
The headquarters of Corriere delle dame, published on a weekly basis,[7] was in Milan.[5] In 1811 the number of subscribers was 700.[7] The magazine existed until July 1875.[3][9]
