Cristina Pérez (reporter)

Cristina Pérez (born c. 1973 in San Miguel de Tucumán) is an Argentine television news journalist. Since 2002, she has worked alongside Rodolfo Barilli, as news anchor of Telefe'sTelefe NOTICIOSO a las 20 ("Telefe News at 8 PM").[1] Cristina Pérez is journalist, News Anchor, author and actress. She has a vast career as a journalist in the Argentine Media. She has been working in the national television for the last 27 years. She co-hosts Telefe Noticias prime time edition since 2002, in Telefe-ViacomCBS (Channel 11), the leading network. She also has her own daily radio show, "Confesiones", in Radio Mitre AM790, top radio in Argentina. For her work as a journalist she's been awarded with four Martin Fierro Awards, (Television best female Journalist, Radio Best Journalist, Best Night Radio Show, Best TV Style News), five Tato Awards as best Journalist and anchor woman, Women to Watch, and Security Award as journalist of the year. As an author, Cristina has written two fiction books, El Jardin de los Delatores, her first novel, and Cuentos Inesperados, a short stories collection. Cristina runs her own website cristinaperez.com.ar where she publishes her daily interviews at Radio Mitre and a diverse range of articles including current affairs, travel chronicles, literature and opinion on different fields. She frequently writes for newspapers and magazines as Revista Noticias, La Nación, Clarin and Perfil. Recently she's also been working for BBC Mundo, telling stories about Argentina from a regional perspective. As a host of international summits and events she run Women to Watch Argentina, Girls 20, T-Solutions World Bank, Global Pact PNUD, Oracle Convention, Telefónica Summit, among others. As an actress she has played three major roles in Shakespearean performances of the Buenos Aires Shakespeare Festival. She has studies in History (UNT) and English Literature (University of London and Oxford Continuing Education). She is a member of FOPEA (Foro de Periodismo Argentino) an NGO that advocates freedom of expression and better professional standards for journalists. She's also member of CARI KOL (Key Opinion Leaders at Argentina Council of International Relations) A deep love of words underpins her vocation as a journalist, author, actress and passionate reader.

Cristina Pérez es periodista, escritora y comunicadora. Hace 14 años es conductora de Telefe Noticias a las 20, uno de los informativos más vistos de la TV abierta Argentina. Desde 2016 también conduce Confesiones en la Noche por Radio Mitre, un programa diario dedicado a temas de actualidad social y política, arte y literatura. Además de ser escritora de prosa y poesía, Cristina tiene una gran afición por las artes dramáticas y la literatura inglesa. El amor por las letras es definitivamente una dimensión fundacional de su vocación como comunicadora.

.En 2015 publicó su primera novela, El Jardín de los Delatores luego de su primer libro de ficción en 2011: Cuentos Inesperados. Una colección de historias donde el nombre de fantasía de los personajes define sus destinos.

También realizó piezas de crítica literaria y vinculadas al teatro para publicaciones como ADN, Página 12, Farsa Mag o Ultrabrit.

La literatura fue la puerta que la llevó a la actuación de obras de Shakespeare, con las que suma roles protagónicos como Lady Macbeth, Cleopatra y Reina Isabel. Fue la madrina del Festival Shakespeare Buenos Aires hasta su sexta edición.

Sus trabajos en los medios incluyen Radio Del Plata, Canal 9 (“Azul Noticias” “Zona de Investigación”), Revista Gente, Perfil.com, CBS Telenoticias, Ciudad Abierta TV, La Estrella Digital de Madrid y varios más.

Recibió 5 Premios Tato por mejor conducción de noticiero y labor periodistica, un Martin Fierro por el programa Zona de Investigación, el premio internacional Woman To Watch como mujer destacada de medios, un Premio Security como periodista del año por su labor en TV. Telefe Noticias lleva ganados 4 Martin Fierro como mejor noticiero durante su desempeño en la conducción.

Es miembro de FOPEA (Foro de Periodismo Argentino) ONG que brega por mejores estándares profesionales. También es miembro del CARI KOL, Key Opinion Leaders del Consejo Argentino de Relaciones Internacionales.

Como Maestra de Ceremonias, condujo o moderó eventos locales e internacionales que incluyen recientemente Pacto Global PNUD, Girls 20, T Solutions del Banco Mundial, Woman To Watch Awards, La Convención Azul, T-20 G-20 y otros.

Cursó estudios en Historia, Inglés y Literatura Inglesa (UNT, Oxford Continuing Education, University of London, OISE-Boston )

Estudió teatro con la maestra de actores Maria Comesaña y recientemente también recibió instrucción en Londres con la profesora Penelope Cherns de LAMDA UK.

Escribe prosa y poesía. Su más feliz vocación es la de lectora apasionada.
