Crocanthes hecuba

Crocanthes hecuba is a moth in the family Lecithoceridae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1931. It is found on New Guinea.[1]

The wingspan is about 15 mm (0.59 in). The forewings are deep purple with an orange basal patch extending to near the middle on the margins but the edge is suffusedly concave. The apex and termen are suffused with deep brassy bronze. The hindwings are blackish fuscous.[2]
