Crocanthes xanthistia

Crocanthes xanthistia is a moth in the family Lecithoceridae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1931. It is found on New Guinea.[1]

The wingspan is about 16 mm (0.63 in). The forewings are dark fuscous, with the costal edge, a triangular fasciate blotch from the costa before the middle not quite reaching the dorsum, and a terminal fascia occupying the apical fourth of the costa with the anterior edge concave and narrowed to a point at the tornus all orange yellow. The hindwings are dark fuscous.[2]
