Danny O'Carroll

Danny O'Carroll (born 1982/3)[1] is an Irish producer and actor, best known for portraying the breakout character Buster Brady (associate of the son of foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown) on stage, and in the BBC and RTÉ television sitcom Mrs. Brown's Boys.[2]

Early life and family

O'Carroll was born in Dublin.[3] He is the son of Brendan O'Carroll, who plays Agnes Brown in the series.[4] He is the brother of Fiona O'Carroll, nephew of Eilish O'Carroll, and stepson of Jennifer Gibney, all of whom feature in the series.[5]

Career

As well as Mrs. Brown's Boys, O'Carroll also starred in and was executive producer of Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie.[6]

Channel 4 offered him an international travel series.[1]

Due to family commitments, O'Carroll declined the opportunity to participate in Dancing on Ice in 2019.[7]

Personal life

O'Carroll lives in County Donegal.[7] He is involved in fundraising for various causes, including autism, mental health and childhood illnesses.[3][8][9][10][11]
