Dark Harvest (novel)

Dark Harvest is a 2007 novel by Norman Partridge. It is set in an unnamed Midwestern hamlet that each year sends its young men to confront the menace known as "Sawtooth Jack", a giant pumpkin-headed creature that arises from the corn each year; the one who succeeds wins the "October Prize", a year of bliss free from bills with a new car provided.[1] Publishers Weekly named it one of the 100 best books of the year.[2] New Regency optioned the film rights, with Matt Tolmach to produce but was sold to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in April of 2020 after New Regency putted the film into turnaround, The film will be released on September 24, 2021 by United Artists Releasing.[3]
