Daryl Ferrario

Daryl Ferrario (born 7 May 1998) is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Kerala.[1] He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm offbreak.

Early life

Daryl was born on Malappuram to Sunder Singh and Amala. He was named after the South African cricketer, Daryll Cullinan and the Ferrari car. He started his cricket training at J.S. Rao Academy and later at CSSF.[2] He grew up and did his schooling till grade X on Chennai. He led the Tamil Nadu U-16 team in the Vijay Merchant South Zone championship in 2013. In 2014 his parents decided to move to Kerala were he continued his cricketing career.[3][4]

Domestic career

Daryl was selected to play for the India Under 19 cricket team for the Youth Asia Cup held on Sri Lanka in December 2016.[5][6]

He hit a century against England under19 on the first Youth test match on Nagpur.[7][8]

He made his List A debut for Kerala in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 4 March 2017 against Delhi.[9] He made his T20 debut for Kerala in the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 12 January 2018 against Goa.[10]
