Biography

David Yeung is an environmental advocate and founder of Green Monday, a Hong Kong-based social venture that takes on the world's most pressing crises of climate change, food insecurity and public health, shifting individuals, communities, and corporations towards sustainable, healthy, and mindful living.

Following the establishment of Green Monday[4] in 2012, Yeung launched Green Common [5] in 2015, a "plant-based concept store". The movement of Green Monday has now spread to over 30 countries, with 24% of the Hong Kong population practicing Green Monday. In 2018, OmniFoods, Asia’s first food innovation adventure, was born under the leadership of Yeung. Its first product, Omnipork[6] was met with critical success.[7] In just 2 years, the world's first vegan luncheon meat, OmniPork Luncheon and OmniPork Strip were launched in 2020. Green Monday Ventures is the impact investment arm aimed at accelerating the growth of mission-aligned entrepreneurs and startups globally.
