Dawson Peak
Dawson Peak (83°50′S 162°33′E) is a prominent ice-free peak, 2,070 metres (6,800 ft) high, 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Mount Picciotto in the Queen Elizabeth Range. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after John A. Dawson, a United States Antarctic Research Program aurora scientist at South Pole Station, 1958.[1]
