Day Creek Intermediate School

Day Creek Intermediate School (DCIS) is a public school located in Rancho Cucamonga, California as part of the Etiwanda School District (grades K-8). Day Creek Intermediate School was opened in the fall of 2004 with three grade levels (6th, 7th, 8th). On the campus, there are 18 permanent buildings: thirteen one-story classroom buildings similar in size and shape, a multi-purpose building, and a gymnasium. There is also a two-story administration building that contains the school’s library, and three restroom buildings across the campus. As of 2019, there are about 1310 students enrolled at this school.

In the school year of 2006-2007, DCIS was recognized as a California Distinguished School.[1]

In the school year of 2019-2020, DCIS was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. It is the only California middle school to be recognized as a blue ribbon school. [2]
