DPHS teaches students from the seventh through the twelfth grades. Classes in math, science, history, language arts, and foreign language are available, along with a variety of electives and weighted honors and advanced placement (AP) level courses.
The school's athletic program competes as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Notable alumni include: Bill Cunningham, an American talk radio host for 700 WLW and former Deer Park basketball standout, Barry Pettyjohn, former NFL offensive lineman, and Adam Sayer, former member of the now-defunct, Cincinnati Marshals of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL). In addition Bird Roser, Stan Evans, and Rusty Nagelson were baseball players drafted by professional baseball teams in the 1980s.
