Delias themis

Delias themis is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. It was described by William Chapman Hewitson in 1861. It is found in the Indomalayan realm.[2]

The wingspan is about 76–82 mm. The forewings of the males have an apical black area which is sharply defined and does not reach below vein 2, extending to the cell and to half or two-thirds of cellule 3. The submarginal spots are indistinctly marked. The hindwings have a broad blackish marginal border, its inner edge usually nebulous. There is also a series of white submarginal spots, which are not well defined. Females are yellowish- to creamy-white, the forewings with a brownish-black costa and apical half extending into the cell and to below vein 2. The hindwings have a rather broad brownish-black sharply defined marginal border with the spots of the underside slightly showing through.[3]
