The Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro is one of the three polytechnics in Delta State, Located in Ozoro, Nigeria. The polytechnic offers National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in courses of Science, Social science and Art[1]

History

The Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro was established by Law enacted on January 1, 2002 during the administration of James Ibori. The Polytechnic was established along with two other polytechnics, at Ogwashi-Uku and Otefe-Oghara, and a College of Physical Education, Mosogar (now College of Education, Mosogar).

At the inception, the three polytechnics and College of Physical Education were managed as the Delta State Higher Education Project (DSHEP) in partnership with the University of Westminster, London. This arrangement was designed to fast track the development of the institutions.

Prior to the establishment of the polytechnic, there was a College of Agriculture on ground which was later absorbed into the polytechnic.[2]
