Derek Agyakwa

Derek Emmanuel Adjei Agyakwa (born 19 December 2001) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defender for Watford.

Career

Having left Twente in the summer of 2019, Agyakwa joined Watford in January 2020 on an initial six-month contract.[2] In June, his contract was extended by a year.[3] On 16 September 2020, Agyakwa made his professional debut, playing the first half in Watford's EFL Cup victory over Oxford United.[4]

On 5 October 2020, Agyakwa signed a new two-year contract with Watford and was loaned out to Italian Serie C side Como for the 2020/21 season.[5] He played his first match for Como on 20 October in a 3–2 win against Lucchese.[6] In January 2021, it was mutually agreed for Agyakwa to return to Watford.[7]

Born in the Netherlands, Agyakwa is of Ghanaian descent.[8]
