Dhaka Third Division Football League

Dhaka Third Division Football League is the fifth tier football league in Bangladesh which have established 2003 by the Bangladesh Football Federation.[1] A total twelve teams compete in the league.

History

The league is the fifth tier club football league in the country Dhaka based.[2] The league is run by Dhaka Metropolition Football League Committee under supervision of Bangladesh Football Federation. The league was established in 2003. Every edition participate 12 teams.

Format

Each season twelve teams participate in the league. Every teams plays a total of 22 matches on home and away basis. The teams gain 3 points for win, 1 for a draw, and none for loss. The team with most points is crowned as champions at the end of the season and promoted to the Dhaka Second Division Football League. The bottom team on the points tables is relegated to play non league football the following season.
