Diesel Loco Shed, Gonda

Diesel Loco Shed, Gonda is a motive power depot performing locomotive maintenance and repair facility for diesel locomotives of the Indian Railways, located at Gonda Junction railway station (GD) in Gonda in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the three diesel loco sheds of the North Eastern Railway zone.

Operations

Like all locomotive sheds, Gonda does regular maintenance, overhaul and repair including painting and washing of locomotives. It not only attends to locomotives housed at Gonda but also to ones coming in from other sheds as well. It has four pit lines for loco repair. Gonda loco shed received electric locomotives. Doing maintenance, overhaul and repairs to electric locos.

Livery & Markings

GD has its own stencils and Logo. It is written in both Hindi and English language in bold letters.
