Directorate General for the Public Security

The Directorate General for the Public Security (Generaldirektion für die öffentliche Sicherheit, "GDföS") of Austria is a department of the Ministry of the Interior serving as the professional leadership and overseeing body for most of the country's law enforcement agencies. It is led by the Director General for the Public Security, currently Peter Goldgruber.
