Dry steering

Dry steering is the act of turning the steering wheel of a vehicle while the vehicle is stationary.

This action can be exceptionally difficult in the absence of power-assisted steering.

It is generally advised to avoid dry steering as it puts a strain on the steering mechanism and causes undue wear of the tires.
