Durjaya was a legendary chieftain of the Andhra country. Many dynasties of Andhra who have spread all over the lands have claimed descent from him. [1][2]

Biography

Durjaya was a legendary chieftain or ruler of the Andhra country. Many ruling dynasties of Andhra claimed to be descended from him, such as the Kakatiyas. Nothing further is known about him. [1] Venna, the earliest chieftain of the Kakatiya Dynasty, was born in Durjaya's family.[3][4]
