Duruwa

The Duruwa, sometimes also known as Dhurwa, are a tribal group found in the Indian states of Chhattisgarh and Odisha. They inhabit the eastern part of Bastar and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh and neighbouring Koraput district in southwestern Odisha. In Chhattisgarh they are classified under the Gond tribe, but in Odisha they are listed as a separate tribe. Although most now speak the dominant regional languages, around 50,000, almost all in Bastar, still speak their traditional Duruwa language, sometimes known as Parji, classified as a Central Dravidian language.[1]
