Edgar Smith (librettist)
Edgar McPhail Smith (1857–1938) was an American writer and lyricist for musicals in the early decades of the 20th century. He contributed to some 150 Broadway musicals.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Smith began his career as an actor, then turned to playwriting.[1]
