Egine

Heghine Grigorian (Armenian: Հեղինե Գրիգորյան, born 1989) or Egine (Armenian: Իջին, Russian: Иджùн) or Ezhine,[1] is an Armenian-Russian singer and songwriter who's based out of Miami.

Biography

Egine was born in Yerevan, Armenia[2] and raised in Russia.She is a Russian singer, songwriter, record producer, model, dancer.[1] Egine inherited the gift of music on a genetic level. Her father is an accomplished Guitar player and her mother is a singer and a vocal Teacher.Her musical instruction started at the age of 7, continued through high school and saw her ultimately enroll at the Gnessin State Musical College of Pop & Jazz Arts in Moscow, Russia which She graduated with honors Gnessin State Musical College.[3] EGINE performed in various singing competitions as a child, has won several awards including the "Young talents of Russia" musical contest. One such victory earned her a spot to participate in an international competition held in Los Angeles. With 75,000 applicants from 40 different countries, The World Championship of Performing Arts represented her first opportunity to be heard on an international stage. and the annual World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles only when she was 16 years old, she won 2 gold medals, 2 silver and 1 bronze. Egine, was also awarded the ultimate prize by being proclaimed the Grand Champion Performer in her age category. After the Championship of Performing Arts, Egine began receiving offers from production companies worldwide. And she got noticed by a production company that was based in Miami which Egine signed a contract with for 7 years. Since then her career has started in the US. After 7 years working with the production company her contract was over, Egine didn't continue working with them, as she says:"I was happy to be finally free". She decided to come back to Russia and has starting her career from the top. She became a producer of her own project, the songwriter of her all songs, no more contracts, no more companies She is the boss.... That decision turned out to be very successful for her.

In 2012 Egine was nominated at Armenian Music Awards as a "Discovery of the year" and won in that category. In 2013 Egine made her breakthrough in US with the single "Moon of dreams " that was featuring with the worldwide famous singer-rapper-producer T-Pain. in 2015 she dropped her first Russian single "Love is a mistake" (Любовь-ошибка).The music video got over 5 000 000 views on YouTube and the single has been aired in many Russian radio stations and TV shows . in 2016, Grigoryan took part in Depi Evratesil (the national final organised by AMPTV to select the artist to represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017).[4][5] Egine was one of the most favorite artists on the show and made it to the semi finals . After that she became very famous in Armenia .
