Elena Dorfman

Elena Dorfman is an American fine art photographer. She was born in Boston and received her degree from Sarah Lawrence College. She now lives in Los Angeles, CA. Dorfman is acclaimed for her varied and powerful photography series that explore cultural tensions between the artificial and natural, animal and human, fantasy and reality. Dorfman works in photography, film and, most recently, tapestry. Series and monographs include, Valbona, Sublime: The LA River, Empire Falling, The Pleasure Park, Famdomania: Characters & Cosplay and Still Lovers. Dorfman's work is held in many public and private collections. She is represented by Modernism, Robischon Gallery and the Edwynn Houk Gallery[1]
