Elias Davidsson

Elias Davidsson (Icelandic spelling Elías Davíðsson; born Elias Kahn, 23 January 1941 in Mandatory Palestine) is an Icelandic composer and author who lives in Germany.

Biography

Elias Davidsson was born in Palestine to German Jewish parents who had emigrated from Germany in 1931 and 1935 respectively (he later replaced his original surname with the patronym Davidsson, in accordance with Icelandic naming conventions). Davidsson grew up in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.[1] Temporarily, he lived in France until he finally moved to Iceland in 1962 and became an Icelandic citizen.[2] He studied piano and composition in Cologne, Freiburg and Basel.[3] He worked as a programmer for 22 years.[4] Davidsson has lived in Germany since 2008.[5]

Music

While living in Iceland, Davidsson began composing avant-garde computer-assisted music. In 1976, his Piano Trio (with percussion) was performed at the Nordic Music Days in Reykjavík. This was followed by Landslög, a Fantasy based on Icelandic folk tunes. With Cheetahs, Impotent he presented a work for musical theatre. Subsequently, Elias Davidsson devoted himself increasingly to study pieces for the piano. These include the Græna bókin ("Green Book") with 36 solo pieces for piano, a collection of cello duets[6] and the 18 piano duets The Red Carousel - Das Rote Karussell.[7] Elias Davidsson plays accordion and lithophone in addition to piano.[8]

Journalism

Since the 1980s, Elias Davidsson has published on political topics, such as colonial history, human rights, economic sanctions and Zionism. His texts appeared in anthologies and various journals, and later he frequently published on the internet.[9] Since 2013, he has published a number of books on terrorism, for example the attacks in Mumbai in 2008 and as a truther on the 11 September 2001. He rejects the conclusions of the 9/11 Commission and called them a "perfidious lie"[10]

The Betrayal of India, 2017

New Zealand Journalist Mary W. Maxwell finds Davidsson in his 882 pages about the 2008 terrorist attacks "adept at hunting down the discrepancies in on-the-spot reporting". She sees him as the "most conscientious and energetic tracker of evidence of scripted terrorism". Maxwell focuses on an exemplary piece of evidence, Jonathan Ehrlich's report to CNN, which is taken apart by Davidsson by asking basic questions that had not been answered in the official report. Apart from the main topic, she also finds excursions of general interest, like the one on the development of the electronic police state in India.[11]

Columnist Adeela Naureen in the Pakistan Daily The Nation reports on a "storm in India." Davidsson's book has raised, even though media did not discuss it. The Indian version of the Mumbai attacks she regards as refuted by Davidson's investigations, lying "bare and exposed like a peeled banana". Powerful institutions in India and the US had been the beneficiaries and the attacks had been organized by Indian prime Intelligence Agency, RAW, and her surrogates.

Apart from that, Maxwell sums up the analysis, media had covered this up, key witnesses were not called to testify, were ignored or "resurrected from the dead". Some had died in two or three different places. Crime scenes were cleared before examinations, autopsies were not ordered. Surviving alleged terrorist were not publicly tried. Most CCTV cameras on the days in question did not work, footage was sparsely released with contradicting time stamps. No soldiers involved were allowed to testify. Allegedly, the suspect was secretly executed and buried.[12]

In Pakistan's Daily Times Ikram Sehgal and Bettina Robotka (Department of South Asian Studies at Humboldt University, Berlin) sum up Davidsson's conclusions that the Mumbai attack was serving some vital Indian interests: "One, India’s major institutions are suppressing the truth on 26/11. Secondly, India’s judiciary has failed its duty to seek the truth and render justice. And thirdly, Indian business, political and military circles profited from 26/11. That is why his overall conclusion is that the whole attack had nothing to do with Pakistan but was a false flag operation and a concerted effort of Indian and may be some other international players. This part of his conclusions he calls ‘tentative’." The authors compare this operation to what they see as other strategic Indian false flags, among them the Ganga incident in 1971 and the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket team.

As an example for Davidsson's analytical skills, the authors present his findings on Hemant Karkare, leading Davidsson to the conclusion that right wing Hindu circles had felt threatened by his investigation.[13]
