Ena Nystrøm

Ena Nystrøm is a Norwegian ice hockey goaltender, currently playing for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Norwegian national team.

Career

Beginning in 2013, Nystrøm played with the Stavanger Oilers in Norway.[1] In 2018, she left Norway to move to Canada, where she spent a year playing at the Ontario Hockey Academy.[2] In 2019, she began her NCAA career with RPI. She would finish the season with a 0-21-1 record and a .915 SV%, being named ECAC goaltender of the week once.[3][4]

International

Nystrøm took part in the opening ceremony of the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer.[5] In 2017, she was the starting goalie for Norway as they failed to qualify for the Olympics.[6]

Nystrøm was named best goaltender at both the 2018 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I and 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I, with Norway winning bronze in 2019.[7][8] She was also named best goaltender for the 2018 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship Division I.
