Eneyida (film)

Eneyida is a full-length animated feature film based on the poem of the same name Eneyida by Ivan Kotlyarevsky, made at the Ukranimafilm film studio. The film was commissioned by TV Soyuztelefilm and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in 1991.[1] Directed by Volodymyr Dakhno.

The film was created in Perestroika period. For the animation studio, this period was characterized by the fact that there was an opportunity to experiment and talk about previously forbidden topics. Thus the Eneyida film was directed.[2]

Voice acting

As in the poem, the animated film characters do not make their speeches. I. Kotlyarevsky describes all the details of the story on behalf of the author. The film director instructed the actor of the old drama school Andrii Podubynskyi to read the voiceover.
