Ezequiel Carrasco

Ezequiel "Zeke" Carrasco (born 11 September 2002) is a Canadian professional soccer player who last played as a goalkeeper for York9.

Early life

Carrasco grew up in the North York area of Toronto.[2] He played youth soccer with Vaughan-based club Kleinburg Nobleton and spent time training with Chilean professional club Everton Viña del Mar.[2].He was projected to play college soccer for Humber College, a college in Toronto, Ontario, Canada after graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas in Brampton in 2020 but was signed by York9 which forced him to attend Humber as a student rather than a college athlete.

Club career

York9

In March 2020, Carrasco went on trial with Canadian Premier League side York9 and participated their preseason training camp in Florida.[2] On 10 July 2020, Carrasco signed his first professional contract with the club ahead of the delayed 2020 season.[2] On 29 August 2020, Carrasco made his professional debut as a starter against HFX Wanderers after an injury to first-choice keeper Nathan Ingham.[3][4] He made one save and conceded one goal in a 1-1 draw.[5] In November 2020 was released by York9 FC, after only 4 Months with playing one game.[6]
