Fractures (Sons of Korah album)

Fractures is the eighth studio album from the band Sons of Korah. It was released in February 2017 by 5ive.[1] The album title refers to a line in Psalm 60. Lead singer Matt Jacoby refers to the title as being "... a reminder that the Psalms are firmly grounded in the realities of life and give abundant expression to the tensions and hardships of being broken people in a broken world".[1] This is the first album featuring Anna Waters on backup vocals after joining the band in 2016.[2] The band tried to incorporate a balance on the kinds of Psalms on the album, from the reflective Psalm 16 to the lament of Psalm 60 [3] and to the "foot-tappping mandolin and guitar-driven shout of praise" of Psalm 134.[4]
