Personal life

Diaz has grown up in an impecunious family in Manila, Philippines but they moved out to Cavite, Philippines because of many struggles of living. Francine Diaz is the third out of the six children of Joaquin Diaz and Merdick Saenz. Her siblings are Chantal, Cameron, Carmela, Courtney, and Eisa. At some point in her life, she and her family moved to many places because they had a hard time paying for their house rent and debt for buying food to live when her father was sent home because of the crisis he experienced as an OFW. At a very young age, she already experienced so many struggles in life for her and for her family to live comfortably so she became the breadwinner of the family.[3]

Career

2015–2018: Early career

At the starting point of her life, she dreamed of being an artist but she doesn't know-how. One day, there was a talent manager who spotted her and tried to invite her into a VTR and that is where she kicked off in commercials and guest roles. So at the age of 12, Francine pushed herself to work and pursue showbiz for her family's future. At first, Francine had a hard time pursuing showbiz but she never backs down. Francine took minor roles on television and portrayed younger roles of characters in several teleseryes in ABS-CBN. She debuted in 2015 as she took the role of Young Sari in the drama series Pasión de Amor (Philippine TV series). In 2016, she got the young role of Pinang in the noontime drama series, Be My Lady and the Role of Anya in the comedy-drama series We Will Survive. Francine really started her career in showbiz being the young role of some dramas and she was nearly known when she acted the young role of Kim Chiu in the noontime drama Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin. She also got the role of Ginny in the drama series The Blood Sisters in which some has noticed her great acting skills.

2018–2020: The Rising Popularity

As time goes by, Francine's dream came true when she got her biggest break in the Best Daytime Drama Series Kadenang Ginto.[1] Francine Diaz was given her first big break project as the protagonist Cassie Mondragon in the lead role of the ABS-CBN top-rated afternoon television series Kadenang Ginto.[1][2] Francine played Cassandra "Cassie" Andrada Mondragon, a girl who was made to fight for her rights as Robert Mondragon's daughter. In this TV series, Cassie will have a conflict with her half-sister's daughter, Marga who is made to be her rival in the inheritance Robert Mondragon will left. Cassie is the daughter of Romina and the second daughter of Robert. She was the product of Romina's tragic rape case in which Alvin will confirm in front of Marga that the person who raped Romina is Robert Mondragon, her granddad so she is her half-aunt.

A teleserye would never be complete without a dash of romance, and that kilig is bought to us by Cassie and Kristoff in the Kadenang Ginto series. Kristoff is played by Kyle Echarri in the series. Their tandem in the love story they portray in Kadenang Ginto made the viewers love them as they have that sparkling chemistry when they act their roles. The success of the TV Series made Francine Diaz and Kyle Echarri gain popularity. Francine Diaz and Kyle Echarri are now an official loveteam of ABS-CBN who made it to the Best Loveteam of the Year for 2020 in the LionHeart TV Rawr Award.[4] Francine and Kyle are also part of the group The Squad Plus who is known as The Gold Squad before that was also compromised by Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin and with 8 plus more now. After the Kadenang Ginto, Francine and her squad are set to reunite again in the top-bill horror film named All Nighter that was still onholding now because of the pandemic that happened for months.
