Fritz Stuchlik

Fritz Stuchlik (born 11 February 1966 Vienna, Austria) was an Austrian international football referee.[1] He is Chairman of the AFFA Referees now.

Career

He officiated 20 international matches and was member of FIFA in 1994-2009. He attributed 4 EURO qualifying (2000, 2004, 2008) and 4 World Cup qualifying (1998, 2002, 2006) matches[2] and others were in friendly matches. He also attributed 4 EURO U21 qualifying matches. He gave a red card in WC 2002 qualing match played between Norway and Wales in 2001 to Wales captain Ryan Giggs in 86th minute.[3] He also attributed three Euro U21 qualifying matches.

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League and qualification (4+4), UEFA Cup and qualification (21+4) and Intertoto Cup (6). He also attributed 236 Austrian Football Bundesliga matches, 11 matches in Austrian Cup around 1994-2010 and 5 Swiss Super League matches in 2001-2009.[4] Stuchlik attributed 2008 Egyptian Super Cup match that played between Al Ahly and Zamalek 2:0 in Cairo.

Personal life

He also served as secretary of the Austrian Football Federation. In March 2018, he resigned from the federation by mutual consent.[5] On September 14, 2018, he was appointed Chairman of the AFFA Referees and Referee-Inspectors Committee.[6]
