Gu or Ku/Koo 辜 is a Chinese-language surname. In 2013 it was found to be the 340th most common surname, shared by 138,000 people or 0.010% of the population, with the province having the most being Sichuan. The name means ‘crimes’ or ‘guilt’, and was adopted by descendants of criminals.[1]
