Family and personal life - Shaktawat completed his schooling from st Paul's Udaipur and graduation from mohan lal shukaria University he married to the daughter of bhagwati jhala a prominent bjp leader Preeti jhala he is having 2 daughters hiteshi and gaurvi and one son vindhyaraj singh
Early years
Gp. Capt. Shaktawat was born in the royal house of Thikana Baansi near Chittorgarh. He completed his schooling in Udaipur city at the Bhupal Nobles institution.

- War veteran - he saw action from close quarters near the Jaisalmer air force base in the 1971 Indo-Pak war
