Gallikos (river)

Gallikos (Greek: Γαλλικός) is a river in Central Macedonia, Greece. It was known as Echedoros (Εχέδωρος) in antiquity and Gomaropnichtis (Γομαροπνίχτης) in Middle Ages. The current name probably comes from the ancient Roman colony Callicum (modern Kilkis) near the river.
