History

Gandhi Nagar Public School, Moradabad (or GNPS) is an English medium co-educational school catering to the educational needs of the students of Gandhi Nagar and area. It is situated at the heart of the city.

Shri N.D.Tiwari, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, laid the foundation stone. The building of the school was partially constructed by the Housing Society and handed over to the Harpal Nagar Educational Society, Moradabad, which completed the building and started the school on 11 July 1983.

Achievements

  • A student was selected in the 0.1 merit list of C.B.S.E. in Economics in 2006.
  • A student of class XI presented her dance programme on Sony T.V. and ETV
  • Two students have jointly secured fourth position in a test organized by All India Youth Scientific Test on 14 February 2006.
  • GNPS hosted the 7th CBSE Athletic Meet in 2002. The event included 32 athletic activities, 113 schools of U.P and Uttranchal, affiliated to CBSE, participated. GNPS got the championship with 24 gold, 17 silver, and 19 bronze medals.
  • A student has been selected in open National Athletic Team. The school awarded him Sportsman of the Year 2006
  • A Passed out student was selected for prestigious college of Toronto Canada in 2011.
