George Mackie (rugby union)

George Yuill Mackie (19 April 1949 – 3 April 2020)[1] was a Scottish rugby union player. Mackie played for the Scotland national rugby union team between 1975 and 1978 and took part in the 1975 Scotland rugby union tour of New Zealand.[2] He was the only player capped by Scotland while representing Highland RFC.[3] Outside rugby Mackie was a farmer and a local councillor for Nazeing. His father, John Mackie, was a Labour MP.[2]
