Ghalib ibn Fihr

Ghalib ibn Fihr (Arabic: غَالِب ٱبْن فِهْر‎, romanized: Ghalib ibn Fihr, fl. c. 230–240 CE), is counted among the direct ancestors of Muhammad.[1]:3 In the lineage of Muhammad from Adnan, Fihr precedes Muhammad by twelve generations.[1]:3 He is the son of Malik bin An-Nadr who lived in Makkah. He died and was buried in Makkah, which was also his birth place.

Qusay (whose name was Zayd), b. Kilab, b. Murrah, b. Ka'b, b. Lu'ayy, b. Ghalib, b. Fihr, b. Malik, b. al-Nadr, b. Kinana, b. Khuzayma, b. Mudrika (whose name was 'Amir), b. Ilyas, b. Mudar, b. Nizar, b. Ma'add, b. Adnan, b. Udd (or Udad),....b. Ya'rub, b. Yashjub, b. Qedar, b. Isma'il, b. Ibrahim, the friend of the Compassionate.
