Gholamreza Khan Arkawazi

Gholamreza Khan Arkawazi (Persian: غلامرضاخان ارکوازی) (Kurdish: ‌غوڵامڕەزا خان ئەرکەوازی) (b. 1770 - d. 1839) was a famous Kurdish poet who wrote many verses in the Gorani dialect of the Kurdish language. He was born in Ban-e Vizeh among the Arkawazi tribe, which is one of the Kurdish tribes of the Ilam province. Arkawazi's poetry is similar to other Gorani poetry of the time. The content of his poetry is about love, grieving loved ones, and nostalgia. He also wrote poetry in praise of religious figures.[1][2]
