The Gibson Guitar Corporation took aspects of the vintage Les Paul Classic "Black Beauty" most notably the Gibson split diamond headstock and triple line “fancier” binding white and some new aspects to make the Les Paul Classic Custom. It is a more affordable vintage style Les Paul guitar. The Classic Custom comes in an ebony finish with a baked maple fretboard, gold or silver hardware, trapezoid inlay and gold or silver '57 Classic Pickups, or p90 pickups. The body is made with mahogany and carved maple wood.
